Homeless Veteran Project
The Homeless Veteran Project seeks to provide safe sober affordable housing to male recovering addicts with a special emphasis on helping our homeless veterans maintain sobriety in a 12 step environment. All too often our soldiers are returning from war to face joblessness and homelessness. The current facility at HOW House offers a home in a safe environment to a small number of veterans who are recovering from addiction. Our goal is to expand our housing program to be able to leave no recovering formerly addicted veteran without a safe sober environment to live in. In the future we hope to create recovery family housing for women and children in order to break the cycle of intergenerational addiction.
