Native American Treatment Program
In response to the need for quality alcohol and drug treatment for the Native American community. The Harrigan Foundation has established a Native American drug alcohol and trauma recovery program. Based on the teaching of the White Bison Foundation we established this program to ensure culturally appropriate treatment for the Native American community. We have a traditional sweat lodge and have incorporated feather healing , talking circles and other native teachings in our treatment program.
Our goal is to remove all barriers to anyone seeking treatment for drug addiction. All too often drug treatment programs do not allow for culturally appropriate treatment. The Harrigan foundation is dedicated to respecting the values and needs of all cultures and religious groups. It is our belief that is our obligation to create culturally specific treatment programs to ensure the most appropriate treatment possible for everyone. |
